The South Padre Photo Contest was designed for the purpose of promoting tourism in the South Padre island and Port Isabel area. Prizes have been provided by local merchants.

You must agree to the following Terms and Conditions to enter a photograph or digital image in the contest.

1. This contest is open to AMATUERS ONLY
2. Sponsors of this contest and their employees may enter but are not eligible to win prizes.
3. You agree that you are over the age of 18 years (eighteen years old or older)
4. You agree that your entry information is your correct and accurate information. Failure to submit accurate information such as email address and name will disqualify you from prize eligibility.
5. You agree that any pictures submitted were taken by you and you alone own the creative rights to the digital image.
6. You agree that your picture will be displayed on the Internet for the general public.
7. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you agree to give full rights to your photo submissions to SouthPadrePhotoContest.com. (We DO NOT maintain a high resolution copy)
8. We agree that your photo submissions will not be sold.
9. All submissions will be resampled to uniform dimensions and jpg image compression so as to make a level playing field for all contestants. This is done automatically when you submit your image.
10. You should maintain a high resolution version of your pictures and indicate a price you wish to receive if someone wishes to purchase it. We will direct all purchase inquiries to you.
11. Branding – Some merchants offer special discounts and or remuneration for branded images. This is especially true for winning photographs.
12. Content of all submissions must be based on South Padre Island, TX .
13. Absolutely no vulgar, indecent, or pornographic content will be allowed.
14. SouthPadrePhotoContest.com will review all submission before they are displayed on the web site. Any offensive photographs will be deleted. SouthPadrePhotoContest.com reserves the right not to publish any photograph we find does not meet our guidelines.
15. Winners will be notified by email. (Make sure your email address is accurate and up to date)
16. Dos and Don'ts
    1. Don't edit the picture
    2. Do not use text or borders in your submissions
    3. You may adjust exposure levels within a picture editing program
    4. You can reduce the size of your image to speed your upload.  Resized should not be less than 1024 pixels wide and 72 dpi.
    5. Artificial lighting is acceptable.
